Monday, Commissioner Rob Neyer announced that the West Coast League’s Moss Adams Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week are Bend Elks outfielder Sam Linscott (Lewis-Clark State College) and Corvallis Knights left-hander Ethan Ross (Washington State University).

Linscott went 9 for 25 with eight runs batted in during Bend’s six games last week. The LCSC senior-to-be currently leads the league with his .486 batting average. This spring with the Warriors, he hit .295 in 36 games.

Ross posted two strong bullpen outings in a pair of closely fought Knights wins. In those two appearances, he tossed 4-1/3 scoreless innings with nine strikeouts. In Ross’s sophomore season for the Cougars this spring, he went 1-0 with a 5.12 ERA.
