Keep track of the Marlins’ recent transactions and injury updates throughout the season.

1B/DH Garrett Cooper (left elbow contusion)
Cooper wasn’t in Sunday’s lineup, but he hit in the cage and was available to play. He initially remained in the game on Saturday after colliding with second baseman Jon Berti during a first-inning pickle, but he was later replaced by Miguel Rojas, who moved over from shortstop, in the fourth. Cooper said the elbow began to tighten on him.

Cooper underwent Tommy John surgery on his left elbow last August. This marks the second time Cooper has left a game early this season; on April 10, he was hit by a pitch on the left wrist and exited with a contusion.

“Just more preventative than anything yesterday,” Cooper said. “When you jam your elbow and you just had surgery on it, you’re a little more reserved than anything.” — Christina De Nicola (Last update: April 17)

RHP Dylan Floro (right rotator cuff tendinitis)
Expected return: Early stages of season
Floro threw his third bullpen session on April 14 in Miami. Floro was placed on the 10-day injured list to start the season.

“I think he’s on the build train,” manager Don Mattingly said. “He threw another bullpen today. I know he’s feeling good physically. Now, we’ve just got to build him up and get some arm strength in there.” — Christina De Nicola (Last update: April 14)

INF José Devers (right shoulder impingement syndrome)
Expected return: TBD
The team announced that Devers has progressed to hitting live batting practice. Devers was placed on the 10-day injured list on the eve of the season opener as he continues to recover from surgery to repair a torn labrum last August. Brian Wright (Last update: April 11)

LHP Sean Guenther (Tommy John surgery)
Expected return: 2023
The 26-year-old reliever underwent the procedure on April 7. It was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles. — Christina De Nicola (Last update: April 8)

RHP Edward Cabrera (biceps fatigue)
Expected return: Soon
Cabrera threw a 20-pitch bullpen session on April 13 in Jupiter, Fla. The No. 33 overall prospect, according to MLB Pipeline, went on the Minor League injured list on April 10. Cabrera also had a biceps issue last spring. — Christina De Nicola (Last update: April 14)
