Keep track of the Rockies’ recent transactions and injury updates throughout the season.

INF/OF Garrett Hampson (right hand contusion)
Expected return: TBD
The Rockies announced on April 17 that they have placed Hampson on the 10-day injured list with a right hand contusion and have recalled infielder Colton Welker from Triple-A Albuquerque. Hampson said the injury occurred during Spring Training, and the pain has moved deeper into his hand and worsened to the point that he felt he wasn’t helping the team. — Thomas Harding (Last updated: April 17)

RHP Peter Lambert (right forearm strain)
Expected return:
TBD
Black said on April 14 that Lambert, who is at the Rockies’ Spring Training facility in Scottsdale, Ariz., had “a little bit of a flareup” in his forearm about three weeks prior. Black added that the right-hander was throwing and would be progressing to the mound “within the next week.” Lambert underwent Tommy John surgery in 2020, and although he made it back for two starts last year, the club is being careful with his workload and pace of innings. The hope is Lambert can be part of the starting rotation depth as the season progresses. — Manny Randhawa (Last updated: April 14)

LHP Lucas Gilbreath (COVID-19)
Expected return:
TBD
Gilbreath began an injury rehab assignment on April 17 for Triple-A Albuquerque and threw a clean inning.

Gilbreath was moved into increasingly important roles last year as a rookie and held up well enough that the team did not sign a traditional lefty reliever with more experience for the role. — Thomas Harding (Last updated: April 17)

RHP Robert Stephenson (COVID-19)
Expected return:
TBD
Stephenson struck out one and walked one on April 17 for Triple-A Albuquerque. Acquired from the Reds in a trade in November 2020, he has begun showing fastball command to get hitters off his best pitch: the slider. — Thomas Harding (Last updated: April 17)
