The Yankees and infielder Gleyber Torres agreed on a one-year contract for 2023 to avoid arbitration, the team announced Sunday.

Terms of the deal were not released, but a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand that it was worth $9.95 million, which was the midpoint between the salary figures Torres and the Yankees exchanged as part of the arbitration process. Torres had been New York’s final remaining arbitration-eligible player who had not agreed to a deal for next season.
